Very light foxing to top and fore edges, gilt title to spine a little dulled, and top and bottom extremities very slightly sunned, otherwise VG+ without inscriptions in near fine price-clipped dust-jacket (designed by Robert Micklewright.) A lovely copy of the author’s rare second novel.
The Nobel Prize in Literature 2001 was awarded to V. S. Naipaul “for having united perceptive narrative and incorruptible scrutiny in works that compel us to see the presence of suppressed histories”.
